Home Remedies for Weight loss

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is also among the effective home remedies for weight loss. It acts as the wonderful detoxifier and flush out the waste material from body. It eliminate the toxins that slow down metabolism. Moreover it also burns the fat from body.

Directions to use

Squeeze the juice from fresh lemon.  Add 2-3 teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey and one fourth teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water.
Drink it on an empty stomach every morning.
Do it on a regular basis until you observe the noticeable change.
Alternatively one can mix one teaspoon of lemon juice in a cup of warm water.

Green Tea

Green tea home remedy is a good option for those who want to lose weight. It is loaded with nutrients like zinc, selenium, vitamin C, carotenoids, chromium and many other trace minerals. In several studies it has been found that epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a compound found in green tea helps to decrease the fat deposition. On the other it also boosts body’s ability to utilize fats.

Directions to use

Consume two- three cups of green tea every day. But make it sure don’t add sugar in it.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are good detoxifier and eliminate the waste materials from body. They also help to suppress the appetite. Lower down the cholesterol levels in body.  Besides of this being a rich source of magnesium, manganese, choline, vitamins A, C, and K, folate, and other nutrients, its consumption is good for overall health. Antioxidants present in tomato which have anti cancerous properties.

Directions to use

Consume 1-2 tomatoes on an empty stomach daily.  Make it sure that consume tomato along with peel and seeds as they are enriched with dietary fiber.

Cabbage

Cabbage possesses the high fibre content and also a rich in in vitamin C.  For weight loss its consumption is quite good.

Directions to use

One can consume it in boiled form or as salad twice daily
Honey and Cinnamon
Honey and cinnamon tea combination is good for weight loss. It helps in the body detoxification.

Directions to use

Take one teaspoon of cinnamon powder into a cup of hot water.
Let it steep for half an hour. Add the one teaspoon of honey in it.
Take this tea in the morning on an empty stomach, before about 30-40 minutes of breakfast.  Take this tea again before going to bed.

Fennel

Diuretic properties of fennel seeds are very useful in weight loss. Diuretic action of them help in weight reduction by decreasing water retention.

Directions to use

Take the fennel seeds and dry roast and grind them.
Sieve the powder. Consume one-half teaspoon of this powder twice daily with warm water.
Alternatively you can also make the fennel tea and consume it 15-20 minutes before meals.

Flaxseeds

Flaxseeds are very helpful in weight loss as their fibre content. Additionally they also help to improve the digestion and work well to suppress appetite.

Directions to use

Consume 2 tablespoon of flaxseeds powder two times in day with water.
Another option is you can use this powder in fruit juice or sprinkle it on salads.

Things to be taken

Take cereals rich in fibre like wheat, brown rice, brown bread, wheat pasta. Oatmeal, barley.
Take the vegetables like tomato, carrot, cabbage, bottle gourd, bitter melons, radish, cucumber, cauliflower,   beetroot, onion, garlic, ginger etc.
Take the fruits like black current, peach, apple, pear, papaya, oranges, guava etc.
You can include the sprouted nuts, sprouted grains in diet.

Things to be avoided

Avoid to take white flour, white bread, white rice.
Restrict to mango, banana and muskmelon.
Avoid potato and Sweet potato.

Say no to

Cold drinks
Junk food
Cheese
Frozen and simple yoghurt
Pastries
Puffs
Fruit syrups
Roasted dry fruits
Sugar products
