One of the basic commodities we use every day is bath and body products. From simple bathroom items such as bath soaps, shampoos, shower gels, and conditioners, to body products like lotion, deodorants, and perfumes, many of us have been using many of these products for a very long time that they are already engrossed in our daily routine.
That being said, we all know that bath and body products are necessities and require no second thought when purchase. However, not many of us know that these products are one of the product lines that contributes the biggest in the global economy?
According to a research, it was revealed that bath, body and beauty products contribute $20 trillion in annual consumer spending, and that figure could climb as high as $28 trillion in the next five years. What’s more surprising is that figure is from women spending alone – which means that if men toiletries, as well as baby bath products, are taken into account, this line of the product could potentially be a half-a-trillion-dollar industry in the years to come.
